Product Description
The WHEATSTONE UnderWater Motors :An oil-filled dry-type submersible motor is essentially a “dry-type motor,” but its shaft end seal ingeniously incorporates an “oil-filled” chamber to assist with sealing, making it an enhanced sealing solution for dry-type motors.
The core component is a “dry-type” motor: the interior of the motor is filled with air, and its structure is similar to that of a standard land-based electric motor, resulting in relatively higher efficiency.
The key lies in the "oil-filled seal":to protect the most vulnerable dynamic seal at the shaft end—which is most susceptible to water ingress—a separate “oil chamber” has been designed. The oil chamber is filled with engine oil, which acts like a “moat”:
Physical isolation: The critical mechanical seal is immersed in oil, isolating it from external water pressure and preventing water and silt from directly impacting the sealing surface.
Lubrication and cooling: The engine oil penetrates the friction surfaces to provide lubrication, reducing wear and heat generation, and extending the service life of the seal.
Motor Type: AC Servo Motor
Submersion Depth: 50 metres
Cooling Method: Natural / Optional water-cooled design
Housing: Stainless steel or coated alloy for anti-corrosion
Insulation: Moisture-resistant winding insulation
